In celebration of East Wawanosh’s 150th anniversary, a new history book will be launched, capturing the stories of hundreds of the township’s residents and showcasing breathtaking images of the area’s landscape. This 198-page hardcover book, titled A Snippet in Time, provides a contemporary time capsule of the residents and sights of East Wawanosh. Hundreds of residents contributed stories of their families and favourite memories from life in the township. Editors Sylvia Nonkes-Verburg and Linda Logan partnered with photographers Telfer Wegg and Bonnie Sitter to capture the township’s beauty. “We live in a spectacular part of the world and the images in this book are awe-inspiring,” say Nonkes-Verburg and Logan. This coffee table publication will become a treasured keepsake for residents and serve as a valuable resource for visitors and those who have a connection to the township. Books cost $50. Books are scheduled to be available for pick-up on July 01 at the East Wawanosh 150th anniversary celebrations.
